What % was the final worth?  If you had a good grade going into the final, you will most likely be okay.  Usually high school finals are worth 5-20% of your grade, so it won't make or break you.

However, if you were already failing or very borderline on passing, you might be in trouble.

That depends on your school and how your teacher marks, and also all your other marks.

For example.. some exams count for only 30% of your mark. If you were to get a 50% on you exam, the highest mark you could get in the class would then be 85%. If all your other marks are good, then you would not fail the class.

Your final may be worth more however. I've had different teachers with different marking schemes, and I can't know what the percent break down in your class was. In terms of what a single failing mark means in your school, that's another thing that you would have to find out to your school. It may do nothing to you, since it's spanish, or otherwise they may make you retake it, or go to summer school. It all depends on the school, and what they say.  In highschool, I would say the final probably isn't worth TOO much.

So again, consider how you did throughout the rest of the year. If you didn't do well on most things, or failed many things, then failing you exam may bring you a failing mark. If you did well overall and just did poorly on the exam, then you may pass.

Even if you fail this year, you have two years to make it up. What Spanish level are you in?
You're most likely overreacting. Unless you were doing poorly in that class to begin with, your final isn't going to take over your entire grade.

Unless the final was worth over half of your grade, you should be fine.

With a B?  You should be fine.

Let me go through something hypothetical.  Say you went into the exam with an 80%.  Say your exam was worth 30% of your mark (which is a lot, and it may be less than that).

If you were to get a 0% on that exam (yes, a zero), then you would end up with a 56% in the class.  If you were to get a 14% on the exam, it would give you a little over 60%.

So... going into the exam with a B is pretty good.  Again, your exam may not be worth that much, quite possibly less, that depends on your class.  But from that exaggerated hypothetical situation... assuming that you started with a mark higher than 80% going into the exam, and it's worth less than 30%, and you got at least a 30% on the exam itself... you should be fine :)

What was your grade before the Exam? If it was a B, you'll probably alright.
