So, basically for those of you who don't know, I was fat (~175ish, it may not sound big but i looked so soft and malleable and weak) in high school until senior year when I started watching what I ate and excersizing. Freshman year of college, I didn't eat. At all, really. One small meal a day for six or seven months, and at the end of the whole ordeal I got a tonsillectomy and REALLY couldn't eat. I dropped to 135 pounds. I worked really hard at that point to watch what I ate in the opposite direction, always made sure to eat SOMETHING at some point in the day even if I wasn't necessarily hungry. By the end of freshman summer, I got my weight back up to 150. Sophomore year, first semester. I live a mile away from school, so I was walking at least three or four miles a day. Tried to drink as much water as possible, but I'm always really bad at that kind of thing. TRIED SO HARD to eat normal portions, normal food three times a day, but I felt like I was losing weight. I watched myself in the mirror and I could even see my body fat decrease. I didn't have a scale so I couldn't weigh myself for months. Today, I stepped on the scale to see if my eating disorderly habits took my weight back down. See, the thing to keep in mind is my parents were afraid to let me go back to school, because they were afraid I'd stop eating again. If I lost weight, serious changes were going to happen. BUT I DIDN'T LOSE WEIGHT. I didn't gain either! I went from 150 at the beginning of the semester to 151. With fat loss! Which means there was definite muscle growth over the semester. Hell yes!

Maybe if you work out or go jogging, then it'd be even better.

I'm going to start running on my parents' treadmill, but only because I won't be walking the three to four miles a day I used to walk before. I want to try and maintain what I have now... coincidentally, the other day I looked in the mirror and was actually kind of happy with the way I looked. But like they say... once you become happy with the way you look, you get comfortable... that's when you start gaining weight again. And as you can probably guess, that's really not what I'm in the mood for nowadays.
