I think it's a good idea. But realistically, publishers are more likely to reject your script if it's of a lesser quality in terms of spelling and grammar. But what the hey. Most manuscripts are rejected out of hand because the grammar, punctuation, and/or spelling are missing. Keep in mind children's literature (pre-10 audiences) doesn't make much money unless you pull off Captain Underpants.
