But I fail to see what I said wrong here, Livewire, to make the Woman Hitler I Call My Mother (WHICMM) fly off the handle at myself and the rest of the family. *After being asleep for a bit, I enter the room. Mother, sister, brother and dad are sitting in front of the telly.* Me (sitting down) : I think I need new glasses. Mother (big angry sigh) Me: What? Mother (getting angrier): I just feel like suddenly there's this huge financial strain on me, and you've all got your hands out for money! Me(getting a bit bitchy I must admit): Well okay then, I can wait. I mean, Leah just got contacts AND new glasses but whatever, I don't mind. Mother (snapping): Well I haven't had new glasses in three or four years! Me: So get some! I can wait! I'll let you imagine the rest. So now she's really angsty and pissed off at everyone else. My sister keeps giving me dirty looks  because apparently it's all my fault. Know whats funny? My mother offered me laser eye surery the other week and looked offended when I said I didn't want it. All that said, I know that fighting with your parents is a normal part of being a teenager, but the thing is, I NEVER fight with my dad. Sorry, Livewire, about the big vent. But it's this or going up onto the farm to smoke drugs and which is better for me, right? I personally can't wait until I can afford it! Well, I think that perhaps your mom just have been having some tough times lately. My mom's been really snappy for no reason too in the past few months. It's actually kind of scary considering she has never acted like this. But hey, one day you'll be your own adult and will be able to get away from all the nastiness in the family. Just pull through.
