I told my mom that I didn't bother to tell her what I really wanted for Christmas because I knew it was way out of our price range so I came up with some random crap because she wouldn't stop pestering me about presents.

But then I found out that it actually /was/ in our price range, so I accidentally told her about it out of a sort of "man, I should have asked for it" type deal and then she made me feel like a total idiot for not asking for it or something... which upset me so I started crying...

I'm such a brat, ugh. I made her all stressed to the point that she started throwing things at me.

Sounds like it'll be a lovely Christmas.

Sorry.

She actually threw stuff at you? Well don't worry, next time just ask for what you want, then if she can't afford it you'll know for sure. *hugs*

I did. But whenever I apologize she tells me that lying is a bad habit.

Yarly.

Next time, just ask and be like "but if that's too expensive, I'd prefer _______"

Aw sorry to hear that :(. Next time when people ask you if you want something just tell them along the lines "Well I really want -what you want goes here-, but if not that then -the cheap stuff go here-." That way you show what you really want, but you dont make it seem like it has to be that.

Uhhhh, yeah, its a bit brat-ish. Just say sorry.

My mum throws stuff at me every day, grow a backbone!

My mom does the whole "Lying is bad" thing too when I apologize for things. ANNOYS THE CRAP OUTTA ME!!!

-- Posted by xmise at 8:43 pm on Dec. 22, 2008

I'm not trying to say it wasn't bratty, I'm saying it was. I feel bad.
But I DO hate how she always assumes she knows why I'm crying when I do.
I wasn't crying because I didn't get it, I was crying because she yelled at me.
I'll take all kinds of physical pain but I hate when people yell at me.

Yeah,it sucks but it's life. Try to apologize (again) and don't just say sorry. Lay it out there.
But seriously, she threw stuff at u? Classic! I'm sorry,it's just funny.
