Stuff like Naruto is pretty crap. I'd say alot of the other stuff like Gundam Wing was really crap too. I personally loved dragonball z when I was a kid and I still give it some credit as an awesome childhood anime, but if I watch it now it's pretty shitty. Cheesy dialogue and predictable plot etc. Death Note and Cowboy Bebop are awesome animes, probably the best I ever saw. Trigun is semi-cool but it dives into alot of that really goofy stuff like all the wierd facial expressions and people being obsessed with food and such. Ghost in the Shell is cool for story, but I don't watch it that often. It sort of bores me but sometimes has cool concepts. It's a futuristic law and order kind of thing, explores random conceptual topics about robot and human morality etc.
