Hey, I really want a netbook...but I am wondering--- Would a netbook with an Intel Atom or Celeron processor (with 1GB of RAM) be able to handle a music player like iTunes? Or can you basically not install anything? What netbooks would you reccomend out there? Thanks, Danny

I think the best one out there is the MSI wind, it's got an atom processor. Should be able to handle itunes.

Yes, Danny, they still are. Get the Atom proc. I would suggest the MSI wind, as it's the highest rate netbook atm. All will be able to handle iTunes, internet browsing, IMing, and stuff like that. iTunes isn't that ram intensive, unless you are encoding constantly.

I am posting this on my netbook. Acer Aspire One; 1.6ghz Atom, 1GB DDR2 RAM, 120gb HDD. They are good for any easy task; Office productivity, media players, web browsing, web-games, and older games. I regularly play Diablo II, Rogue Spear, CS 1.6, NFS:Porsche Unleashed (and older), original Call of Duty, and a few others on here. I am plenty sure it can handle iTunes.

My Acer Netbook is surprisingly able to handle most tasks i throw at it. I just used it last weekend with a software guitar rig on it to play at one of my gigs it preformed flawlessly.
