when all of a sudden my mother thought of the idea of going to Savannah, Georgia. So, five minutes later, everyone's packing up. I'm in shock. What should I expect there?

In Savannah? It's beautiful in the Summer, and in the Winter it's very cold, but equally beautiful in a different way. The air is usually very clean if you're closer to the country part, but if you're in the city there are a lot of tourist shops you can stop at, especially on the boardwalk, and walk along the river. You'll probably like it.
