Just be careful what you install. -- Posted by rand0mguy at 10:11 pm on Dec. 25, 2008 It is fine to turn user account control off, as long as you are not worried about children/little bro/etc messing up your computer by trying to delete the registry lol, but in most cases, it is pretty useless and only restricts things that could damage your computer, such as installing programs, modifying system files/running admin tools etc. It is a handy thing to have but at the same time its rather obtrusive, and if I was you I would just turn it off and use your mouse, and if you get sick of getting warned about how insecure your computer is, you can turn off the anoying popups here.
