I need to gain weight, i'm not that thin, and i want to continue losing weight, but i promised doctors and people that mean everything to me i would gain a bit of weight. every time i gain a bit, i end up losing it, and more, so in the end i still weigh less than i did when i made those promises. as of now, i'm still within normal ranges, but i don't want my weight to drop anymore, but i don't want to gain weight or maintain it either. i can't make myself eat more, but i know i have to. i'm scared and sick. i keep telling myself as long asi don't get under this number, as long as i don't get under this number (after i went under the first number)... now i'm down to as long as i don't get under 100 pounds... i started this whole mess almost 50 pounds heavier over the summer. i don't even know what i want, let alone what to do.

Whether it's for a sport or personal reasons, packing on extra pounds is not as easy as it seems. For many people, gaining weight can be just as difficult as losing weight. Often a change in diet can help a person add desired pounds. But to gain sustainable weight, follow these guidelines STEP 1: Eat nutritious foods that are high in calories. Examples are whole-grain breads, vegetables such as avocados and potatoes, kidney beans, lean red meat, poultry and fish. STEP 2: Increase the caloric value of your meals. Add powdered milk to casseroles for added calories, add avocados and olives to sandwiches, add wheat germ to your cereal, add chopped meat to your pasta sauce, and so on. STEP 3: Avoid skipping meals. Knowing how to gain weight involves consistent eating. Eat three meals a day and at least two snacks STEP4: Increase your normal portion size. Take a second scoop of pasta, or add two bananas to your oatmeal. STEP 5 : Choose higher-calorie foods when given a choice. For example, corn is higher in calories than green beans. STEP 6: Relax - excessive fidgeting and restlessness can burn up a lot of calories STEP 7: Add weight lifting to your exercise program. It helps build muscle mass. STEP 8: Balance your caloric intake with the number of calories you're burning. You need to be taking in more than you use up, and you may need to ease up a little on your exercise program. source: http://www.ehow.com/how_3557_gain-weight.html Hope that helped! :)

If you're trying to gain weight, don't make the mistake of becoming unhealthy while doing it. You could be trying to gain weight so much, that you're becoming unhealthy, too. So just be careful. It is usually better to be overweight and fit and healthy, than thin and unhealthy and unfit. I dont know how you could gain weight, but I would just recommend getting professional advice from a nutritionist on this matter.
