The road test took me through a series of right turns, freeway driving, and left turns. Its really easy just watch your speed and check your mirrors. -- Posted by mymerej at 5:29 am on Dec. 29, 2008 Also, it doesn't matter how slow you go. You can go 1mph in a 30mph if you want. Just don't speed. On my first test I went through a yellow light instead of stopping. He [the tester] bitched at me but didn't take any points off. Just go slow and concentrate. Another thing, I failed my first test because I hit the curb on my parallel parking. Usually, they have you parallel park behind a car that doesn't have a car behind it - so you have all the room in the world. Go slow, pay attention, don't be nervous. But the basics of mine was; pedestrians have the right of way, backing in, they had to see that you weren't nervous driving (which i really was, but i guess i pulled it off), turns, if the speed limit was 35 and you were going 36 you had 3 seconds to bring it down to 35. Just simple little things like that.
