It's a lovely city. The architecture is not like ours at all, the people were on the whole extremely polite, the sights were pretty good and the food was yum. So, try it. Edit: I didn't find the language too much of a barrier as A.) All the vital people spoke English perfectly anyway and B.) You realise most of the photos that end up in magazines and newspapers are organised by the celebrity themselves. Half the stories are fed to the papers by the celebrities. They love it. They wouldn't survive if it wasn't for this sort of coverage. And people are interested because we want to know that these adored and venerated famous people are actually nothing special and just like us.
