I think the UN should come to this situation between Palestine and Israel immediately. They shouldn't leave until both governments reach an agreement. Really. The violence needs to stop.

I know, it's SO SIMPLE in your eyes isn't it?

I think there are a lot of difficulties in it.

Did I ever say its simple? No. I think that the UN, being successful in many cases, should enter this situation and insist on a solution. The two governments can't do it on their own.

I agree the UN needs to stop being a figure-head and puppet fo the US government and do something...but they won't.

I really think that the UN should stop 12 year olds from killing people in Sudan. Guess what? They are not. And if they are not involving themselves where they are needed, then they have no business involving themselves in israel.

Well guess what, involvement is needed in Israel, sorry that everyone is the same when they have power.

Ideally a lot of things should be different, but they are not. Why? Because of us. Our own society is more outraged by the latest crime of fashion than by the latest crime of hate.

Did you just read my post? Why aren't they involving themselves WHERE THEY ARE NEEDED? Israel has tried UN resolutions, and all it has done is screwed them over. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_United_Nations_resolutions_concerning_Israel

Considering the situation at hand right now, UN needs to do something about it. Ofcourse, it wouldn't be able to solve the conflict alotgether, but it isn't about the conflict anymore, it is about its consqeuences which are pretty apparent, and unjustifiable to the core. It is strange how Israel constantly asserts that "we are targetting Hamas", when the fact is that targetting Hamas, essentially means targeting the whole of Gaza. Back in 2006, Hamas was "democratically" elected. That technically means, that most of Gaza is either part of Hamas, as in supporting it or a hardcare protagonist of that party. What Israel is doing, is plain hypocrisy and is morally wrong.

Do you have any idea how big gaza actually is? http://www.mideastweb.org/hamashistory.htm Just so you know, Hamas and Fatah were both known as terrorist groups well before the "democratic election".
