My best friend was dumped just before Christmas by her boyfriend. He did it before too some times. He has cheated on her many times.

What surprises me is that my friend always goes back to him, that's irriating. Gosh, she is very sad, and that's why i hate that guy so much.

But my problem  - I told her directly my thoughts about that piece of shit. And she's like "omg, stop talking like that" etc, as if he would be an angel. And now she is mad at ME. WTF?

She even congratulated him on New year. That makes me sick.

She should just get rid of him. I dont think a person should stay with someone like that, it is just demeaning her if you think about it.

Tell her to move on, seriously. Tell her it's unhealthy.

Other than that, since you've already kinda done that, you can only be there for her. She'll have to realize his assholeyness on her own, I guess. Some people are like that.

I find that it's generally not a great idea to talk badly about my friend's boyfriends for a few reasons

a) When they get back together, you're suddenly the bitch
b) It doesn't tend to stop them from getting back together
c) It's insulting to be like 'you just spent a hell of a lot of time with a complete loser'.

Better idea? Say that you think that the same problems that were there the first time around are not going to go away, that you don't think that they are compatible and that it's not a healthy relationship if it keeps going on and off. She may not take the advice, but at least you don't end up losing your friend over a guy.
