I'm getting mine done at the beginning of summer and I cannot wait, I know all the health risks and facts about the piercing, but there isnt that much information on the subject of purging with a tongue piercing. Its obviously not good to do it when you just got the piercing (or in other people's cases not good at all) but I want to know, maybe you have had the experience or your friend did, that it would be okay for purging once the tongue is healed. I know the lectures, "think about your stomach acid burning your food pipe, what about the metal?" and all those things. You have to be very good about cleaning it or the acid from the vomit might damage the tongue, using the hole from the piercing. If youre throwing up regularly it will probably get infected. More importantly, i would worry more about esophageal varices than my tongue piercing getting screwed up. normal tongue piercings go through the septum of the tongue(the bit you can slice though) so don't really go though muscle tissue...venom piercings are the ones that go though muscle...
