As what one would consider to be a black person. I am slightly confused about all this talk from white people about black people taking things from them or whatever because of slavery....they talk about this happening like it's a part of their life and it happens on a daily basis. I can't really remember any time that I have seen in person a black guy imposing "white guilt" on a white person. I personally have once in a while just walked up to a white kid and took like a piece of pizza, and yelled "REPARATIONS!" then walked away. It was really just as a joke, but hey I got pizza out of it. Other than that though...I want to hear stories from you white people about this "problem" of we blacks guilting you into giving us stuff.

I personally don't see the point of reparations. What's done is done. No amount of "sorry" or money can fix it.

I don't know. I'm black, and all, but the people I'm around typically ignore my race, 'less they're making an offhand racial comment.

And who wants to. I am appalled that slavery was abolished. I mean thats what could really pull us out of economic crisis... again.

I agree. Give me my house slave so I can continue being a slacker. Hey, they get a house to live in and food to eat and clean clothes to wear. The least they could do is wait on us hand and foot.

actually, "40 acres and a mule" were never promised it's a myth that arose out of the idea of dividing the land of former slave-owners up amongst former slaves However, I have never seen a person appeal to white guilt in real life, either in fact, the only time I've heard reparations discussed was when Ms. Gordon assigned it as a debate topic in her class

Some Negro tried to get a flash drive out of it. In programming class. "Your family enslaved mine for hundreds of years and you can't give me a flash drive?" Such a retard. Why did we sell his brother?

Obviously someone who doesn't have a clue as to what happened on the plantation, or really much of any clue as to how slavery worked in the USA.

The only time I've personally heard blacks calling for reparations or using white guilt (whether jokingly or seriously, it doesn't matter - both amounted to the same end) is when they basically pressure a white person for something like money, food, or whatever. In most cases, it's not as malicious as it sounds, but it certainly occurs on some level. You also hear reparations (occasionally) and white guilt, and things related to it, come up in affirmative action debates all the time. White privilege is almost always used as the justification for affirmative action, and if you're a white person who happens to disagree with white privilege in general, you usually get white guilt thrusted upon you (in that simply because non-whites were discriminated against in the past, you should feel bad about it by virtue of being white and allow them to have advantages over you).
