Klonopin?

I really think I need it. I wouldn't say I get panic attacks, but I definitely do have high anxiety. It makes my heart go up and it makes me feel dizzy and stuff. My bf has some of it and he's let me have some a few times and it really works well. If I tell my shrink what goes on she'll most likely give it to me.

The problem is, one time my mom found some Klonopin tablets in my pocket and I'm not sure she'll let me take them now even if they are prescribed to me.

i've taken it recreationally. it's pretty fun.

benzos are really addictive though. i wouldn't take it regularly unless i absolutely had to.

Well, no drugs should be abused for long term use but if a "doctor" thinks it may help then........just know that in the end, it's only getting you high and your anxiety will be worse once it's unmasked.

Yes. 3 mg per day. It is very helpful.

I take 5-6mg of prescribed Klonopin at night and in the morning; as a benzo I don't really get a buzz off of it like I do off of Ativan/Xanax/Valium.  Oh, and OP: good luck at getting a doctor to prescribe you Klonopin.  Congrats to you if you do; most doctors are assholes who would rather see patients suffer just to protect their own asses, especially psychiatrists.

They like to start you on antidepressants like Celexa for anxiety and if they don't work (which they usually won't) then you get benzodiazepines.

Yeah, that's how it usually goes.  Antidepressants don't do shit for me except for making me more depressed.  Even when they don't work doctors are still hesitant to prescribe you benzos in order to save their asses.  It's pretty much impossible to get prescribed good anxiety/panic attack medicine these days unless you're good at manipulating and doctor-shopping.

I have been taking lexapro for a few years and they barely do anything. I also took zoloft and paxil.
