I have been diagnosed with depression and various personality disorder things (whose diagnoses are ongoing), and i am finding it really difficult to keep up with all my a-level work. I'm trying, but often its hard enough to just get up let alone write essays. Im wondering if anyone else has experience of this and if my teachers will be understanding about it, or if they'll just shout at me :-\

Some of both. Don't try it though.

Get your doctor to write a note for them. Depression is real, and teachers of all people should realise that.

Depression is a real thing, thats proven Its physical; chemicals in ur body change, thus your mood and mindset changes. Surely they'd rather u talk to them now rather than let it build and get worse

ok i will try that. They know some stuff is wrong, but i'm just not sure how much longer they will tolerate it and the fear of being hated by them makes it harder for me

An old friend of mine got her doctor to write her a note which she showed her boss at work and her teachers in college. And things were easier on her. As long as they know about it, and know there is a reason, then they should be fine. =]

Most people suffer from some sort of 'depression' but i just think some people handle it differently from each other
