-- Posted by basma at 11:26 am on Jan. 5, 2009 I'm so sad about what happening in Gaza kids are dying and more than 550 people died in only ten days because of what happening and i just feel that I'm just not that important in life because people are dying and Israel don't care about that i just wish i could do something i just cry each time i open the news they show us little kids saying today a pregnant women diet with her three children and the unborn-ed baby why did she die? Civilian casualties are inevitable in an area as densely populated as Gaza. That and your playing right into the hands of Hama's and other radical groups that use civilians as shields to begin with. Egypt won't open the borders because the higher the civilian death toll the worse Israel looks. Doesn't matter what the west thinks of Egypt. They also want the government in Gaza replaced with a more Egypt friendly one, they can't lose in this situation. Oh yeah, and the US had slavery 200 years ago so we look bad. And Germany had the holocaust a long time ago so they still look bad i guess. And Iraq used chemical weapons on its own population a long time ago. And Iran used its civilian population as cannon fodder in their war on Iraq a long time ago. Really you can't sit there and hold the past against a country. A country's policies and attitudes change with every new leader. Besides when your Israel and surrounded by people that believe if they kill a Jew (soldier or not) they'll get 72 virgins and be a hero they kind of have to act aggressively to survive. Then again im guessing your Arabian and biased towards the other view point. -- Posted by Aristocrat at 12:06 pm on Jan. 5, 2009 I feel really sad as well can't even watch the stupid news how bad it is.  The gross part is when people debating about it (in their a comfortable zone) while innocent women and chidlren dying over who "started it" and playing a blame game instead stoping it.   All so called Arab "leaders" are nothing but disgrace from the face of the earth.  They are useless can't even support their brothers in Filistin/Palestine for giving them shelter, medical e.t.c. because they are afraid of some imperial boss of theirs. Somalia is different they are fighting each other for over power and tribal syndrome, so it can not be compared even though it is sad and ironic for people who share same religion, language culture and fighting each other over power between clans faction.
