How our bodies function by condemning us to death just to prolong our lives? I mean, the human body is dependent on oxygen, yet oxidization is slowly killing the body. Lol, we evolved to expire. That's heartening.

I get your point, but I feel the word 'kill' is too strong a one in this case. I have very negative associations with it, as in killing is a voluntary act of bringing death upon a being. To me it's a word one would use in this context to make it sound stronger, but it wouldn't be fully justified logically speaking. Yeah, semantics.
