Does it really matter? Since when do you have to be married to have a kid together? Congrats! That is fantastic to hear how things work out for people :> I wish your family the best. My baby will be coming this summer :)

We plan on getting married but I am still young and have so much stress and no free time right now to plan a wedding so we will wait until we are more all settled. Having a young baby is a full time job and I want to plan a beautiful wedding. So I know we will have a long engagment (hasnt happened yet) and once we are both done college and are settled we can have the wedding of our dreams. We want to be married but there is no huge rush because we already have that commitment to eachother its just a matter of when its official and we can celebrate our love.

Lool no need to get sensitive because you're having a baby too. It was just a question if they are going to get married or not.

I wasn't aware my response seemed sensitive, I know what you were asking it is just a question that I hear all the time... even before I was pregnant. It is just the end of the question that bothered me...
or just be boyfriend and girlfriend with a kid?
Seems a bit rude.

Congratulations to all those who said they are expecting. Some advice from me: be educated on every possible option that can happen with your birth experience. I had an emergency csection and complications (only with me, Anthony is perfect) and it can be scary if you aren't prepared. You can try to prepare to be a new mother but its one of those things you can ready everything in the world but once you experience it its different. You can only prepare to a certain extent. I am still young I don't live with my bf yet and I have full custody (meaning the baby lives with me) because he is in college. Keep your head up, hang on, and remember its all about your baby. Everything happens for a reason and it will all work out even if u dont think so. Being a mother is the most incredible feeling in the world. Its such a blessingg!

Hah I have the same view as you do. Everyone on my boyfriends side of the family is like "You guys should get married.... it will bring the two families together." And I am just like wtf? Shouldn't a new person being brought in the world bring our two families together?

I never said it or intended it in a rude way. I was simply stating their situation. Not my fault if their situation came across as bad. I know many people with kids and they are under 18 and single. I have nothing against them.

Our families are so together. Both of our families are now one big family. It is a dream come true. We dont need a ring and a ceremony to verify our love. My life may seem great but it is hard and everyone needs support. I am going through a lot, going back to high school to finish my junior year, start college early, carry a parttime job, and raise a son. Its hard but anyone can do anything they set there mind to. My son is worth everything I have.

Don't rush an engagment or a marriage. Having a baby together is stressful enough, there is no need to rush. As long as he is there for you that is all that matters. You can be a family without being married, and considering you are only 17 it is a good thing to keep it that way. I wish you luck too. Your child is lucky to have been born to young parents that actually stay together.
