Ala-DC or Marvel, hell even the Archie Sonic Comics. I've been trying to figure out how to draw that style in photoshop. It looks like they ink it up nice and gradient it but I have tried that and it didnt work. Ive also tried the airbrush and the burn/highlight tools. Any suggestions on what to do?

Do you mean coloring or penciling? They're two very different steps.
