for 50 points, if you have a dell inspiron 6000...

go and get me a link to the driver, for the wireless card. This is for the standard wireless card ONLY.

You gotta look down the list on the left hand side. Click wireless and there is plenty of options as that s the Dell website.

i went there... but i dont know what card i have... i got rid of windows, and am now using debian linux

Oh, a lot of people have trouble using wireless on linux, check nothing on your firewall is blocked?
Also, can you have a look at your card at all and find out what it is?

What verson of linux are you using? If its ubuntu check the Ubuntu forums, chances are someone has already done what you are doing and there is a guide.

What is your service tag number?

Put that in, wait a bit, and look under the wireless tab for your driver.
