My friend made a dumb move, he robbed a store and got caught. Since then he's paid the store back, got a job and done some community service. He is hoping to bargain with the DA to go into the Army if they drop the charges. Reason being, he's charged with 2 felonies and the Army won't take you unless you only have one and they won't take you unless you aren't on probation. What are the odds that the judge will be able to drop the charges so he can join the Army? He's 19 years old right now and has no other criminal record. Thanks.

I must ask, What can we do to help other than predicting the odds that the judge will drop the charges?

I would ask this as well. All charges are different, if they do drop the charges he still may have a hard time getting into the army, i'd ask the army directly.
