Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid: Reid stated, "I don't believe in the executive power trumping everything... I believe in our Constitution, three separate but equal branches of government." "If Obama steps over the bounds, I will tell him. ... I do not work for Barack Obama. I work with him," he said. ... What does he think he is? Obama's equal? He probably wants to amend the constitution so he can be named "President of the Senate". Whata douche.

I think Reid was just saying that there are three branches of gov't (checks and balances) and that he's saying in order to get things done that the exec and legislative branches will have to work together instead of having the President veto everything Congress passes or having Congress vote against anything the President wants to have passes.
