I saw mine yesterday and I was shocked. I'm 21 and just graduated from a top 25 college with an Honours degree, but in high school I was a shy, acne-covered loser. I liked a popular guy who was the lead singer/guitarist of a band in school and they even had songs on the radio. Everyone thought he was hot and he was on the hockey team. He would snicker at my clothes and try to get other people to make fun of me so I would understand that he didn't like me. I couldn't help myself, I still liked him. I found out he smoked weed and was emotionally abusive to his gf (he dumped her 3 times in a week once).

In university, I was determined to change. I got involved (in a sorority, was president of a club) and in my last year one of the most popular guys on campus had a crush on ME!

I saw my old high school crush and realized he's short for a guy (only 5 ft 9, I'm 5 ft 7), never went to college and is still attempting to make it as a musician but he still lives in the small town we grew up in. His friends are the ones from high school.

I think I turned out better.

don't compare. it's still sounds like your insecure...if your still comparing yourself. it just sounds like your trying to make yourself feel better for being a loser in high school. *no offense*

5'9" is about average, actually.

I'm only comparing because I saw him so very recently. My way of feeling better for being a loser in high school was changing in college, and I did that.

5'9 isn't short, really. Plus, if he's still trying to make it as a musician, he must really love that and I'd honor that.

He didn't see me. I wonder how he'd react?
