To start of i am a male. Im constantly feeling different about myself and it affects all other aspects of my life. There are some days (very few) when i can look at myself and just say, "Damn i look good". Then there are most day where i look at my self and think. "this is wrong, this is wrong, i need to change that." And just today, i woke up felt, mediocre, got dressed, then i saw my self in the mirror and though, i look good today...Well my winter formal was today. And orriginally i wasnt gonna go i was supposed to go stay at my brothers for the night, but snow happend. But when i decided to go to my dance i got dressed again looked in the mirror and said man am i good looking. Confidence was radiating off me. Then once i arrive it when compleatly downhill from there. I found myself not dancing with anybody for the first time....and now i just dont like looking at myself i feel ashamed...

Hey there,

good days and bad days are normal. It's all a part of life. The fact you have those days where confidence radiates of yourself is a good thing. It shows you can appreciate yourself, who you are, and what you look like. It's always importatn that you are happy with yourself even if no-one else is.

As for the bad days, you need to ask yourself why you're feeling that way on those days. Is something different from the days where you feel like you are confident, can do anything? If you can spot it. Try and change it. Only actively confronting such a thing can change it. Ignoring it will do absolutely nothing at all.

As for not dancing with anybody at the formal, what's so wrong with that? It wasn't your original intentions to go so it's not like you would have asked anyone. You can have fun by mingling with the crowd.

don't let one night affect those days you do have that are full of confidence =]
