on dance. i've been doing ballet, pointe, tap, and hip hop for 9 years now. mainly because of my mom. and i mean, i loved it at some point, part of me still does. but now i'm just blehh about it. i like taking classes, performing, and all but i don't like having to teach the lower level dancers. who wants to spend their fridays, saturdays, and mondays teaching little kids dance anyways?
my parents make me teach because the studio lowers my tuition if i do.
and the girls i dance with are constantly competing against each other for no reason. which is a bit annoying.
ahh! idk. i gtg teach now anyways.

No! Keep dancing. I always wish I could dance. If you don't like teaching or the people there, go to a different studio

I used to tap-dance which wasn't bad but it wasn't my thing :p Do what you want, not what your parents want, you'll be happier with yourself.

If you don't feel like dancing anymore, or your not that into it don't do it just because your mom wants you to. Do what YOU want to. You should tell your mom how you feel about it.

Don't give up because of kids you have to teach... You could find a cheaper place (yes,it could be hard,so don't quit your current one until you have) to dance and not teach. You don't have to do something cause someone wants you to. You have to do what makes YOU happy. Talk to your parents about it. I hope they understand.

I quit... When my mum stopped teaching
She was my teacher from when I started and I quit when I was 11.
I wanted to keep going but I couldn't deal with the other teachers.
I still dance, just not classical/jazz/tap

I waste my nights teaching too! get over it and enjoy it!!! Do what you love, learn to just focus on why you love it, if you quit now, you will end up looking back and wishing you would have stayed in...
