For your friends. Not people who want to "hang out" for about 5 minutes, go to the store, and then dip. That kind of behavior will get you in trouble. All anyone has to do is get drunk and screw up bad enough and say you bought them the bottle, and it can put you in a world of legal bullshyt. So, as a rule of thumb, I'd say that if you wouldn't trust them with your car, don't trust them with alcohol. But at the same time, if it's people you hang around and by some stupid chance the cops show up and you're the only 21 year-old, that's on you. -- Posted by gotwake at 12:44 pm on July 30, 2009 I was one of the last of my friends.  They would buy for me under conditions, and I do the same for my 19 year old brother. The condition: don't drive; don't start fights; and if you toss your lunch, you're cut off.   I don't think there's anything wrong with 18+ year olds drinking, as long as they do so responsibly.  My parents let me drink around them starting at 17, and I believe it allowed me to learn how to use alcohol responsibly, so that I wasn't cut loose at college with no prior experience.   -- Posted by aysel star at 4:53 pm on Aug. 5, 2009 The age to buy here is 18. I'm 20. But i've been buying alcohol since I was 16.
