In my effort to update the LiveWire Cook Book I have realized that it's much too much for me to handle myself, so I am reaching out to you: For every recipe that you find on LiveWire that is not yet added to the cook book, I will give you 5 points. (This means that one recipe link will get you 5 points. Two recipes 10. 5 recipes 25. Etc!) Disclaimers/rules: *Recipes posted after the date that this contest starts are not eligible for points. *To be eligible for the points, all recipes must be linked to using this form: [ url ]Recipe Name[ /url ] [ [ m ] Member Name [ /m ] ] *Only recipes not previously posted in the LW Cook Book will be eligible for points. *Recipes posted by other members as entries to this contest are not eligible for points (so each recipe on LW may only get 5 points. Multiple members may not get points for the same recipe). *When posting multiple recipe enteries, make sure to categorize them: Breakfast; Salads, Small Meals, and Lunch; Dinner and Main Meals; Fillings and Breads; Desserts; Drinks. The person who gives me the most eligible links will also receive an $8 donation! Contest will run through today (May 6) until June 17 (six weeks), unless otherwise noted. All points and donations will be given at the contest end, unless otherwise noted. There were two winners for the donation! It was a tie: Music2Live Pretty Thin Both with 6 links. Congrats! Enjoy your donation status!

What's to stop people just going on to a recipe website and copy/pasting all the recipes they can? Or is that encouraged?

Please read the Disclaimers/Rules. If two members (or multiple members) give the same link as an entry, only the first member to do so will get the points (and thus the entry).

Does the recipe have to come from a link? Can it be one that you make yourself, not from the interent?
-- Posted by Kinky Kitten at 1:45 am on May 10, 2009
What if the recipe doesent come with a link, but is say a traditional way to cook something etc.

Have either of you read the LiveWire Cook Book yet? I suggest that you do, since there are some awesome recipes. What I am trying to do, is to update the first page of the LW Cook Book, the one that gives link to all of the recipes. Since there are already SO many recipes posted on LW, it is hard for me to be able to search for them to put them on the first page. As mentioned previously: *Only recipes posted on LiveWire BEFORE this contest started are eligible for points, so you are more than welcome to post your recipes on the LiveWire Cook Book, but they will not count towards entries in this contest. *Your ENTRY to the contest IS the link to the recipe (since that is what I am trying to update, the links).

Ingredients 1 (1 ounce) box fat-free sugar-free instant chocolate pudding mix (I think the Jell-O brand is the best) 2 cups nonfat milk 8 tablespoons Cool Whip Free 2 low-fat cinnamon graham crackers Directions 1Mix 1 box of pudding with milk. Whisk for 2 minutes and let stand for 5 minutes or refrigerate until you are ready to eat your pie. 2Spoon 1/4 of pudding mixture into bowl. Crumble 1/2 graham cracker over the pudding. Top with 2 tablespoons Cool Whip Free. (Repeat 3 more times if you want 4 separate servings - or save the rest of the pudding for tomorrow.). here's the link :) good for diets. http://www.recipezaar.com/Quickest-Chocolate-Pie-Ww-Core-Style-288126

WHITE CHOCOLATE MOUSSE WITH BERRIES Try this very light and refreshing dessert. It is so quick to prepare! Use a variety of berries alone or in combination. When fresh berries are not available, substitute frozen berries that have been thawed. This recipe is also a good choice for a diabetic menu. 1 small box (1 ounce) sugar-free instant white chocolate pudding 2 cups nonfat milk 2 cups nonfat whipped topping 2 cups fresh berries (or frozen, thawed) such as raspberries, blueberries, or huckleberries In a medium bowl, mix pudding with milk. Stir constantly with a wire whisk for 2 minutes. Refrigerate for 5 minutes. Add whipped topping and mix well. Layer mousse with berries in a serving bowl or individual parfait glasses. Be sure to save some berries for the top. This is ready to eat or you can refrigerate it and serve later.

Please try re-reading the directions for how to enter this contest. You need to link to recipes that are already posted on LiveWire. Recipes posted on LiveWire after the start of this contest do not count as entries.

why doesn't the lw cook book have it's own page instead of some random topic
-- Posted by ilovedan098 at 7:03 am on May 14, 2009
This doesn't have a link. But this is how you make it. Toast how every many pieces of bread you want. Apply the pizza sauce, then the chesse, then what ever toppings you want. Heat your oven to 400 bake for 8 minutes.

[ url ]woolton pie[ /url ] [ [ m ]Jamezy5 [ /m ] ] Preparation Time: 15 minutes Cooking Time: 15 minutes to cook vegtables, 25 minutes to cook the pie Number of servings: 5-6 people Serving suggestions: Serve with Gravy This is a vegetarian recipe For the pie: 1lb (450g) of diced potatoes 1lb (450g) cauliflower 1lb (450g) swede 1lb (450g) carrots 3 or 4 spring onions or some sliced onion 1 teaspoonful of vegetable extract; 1 tablespoon of oatmeal Chopped parsley For the pastry: This pastry uses only flour and lard (no sugar or egg) for 6oz (170.1g) of pastry 4 oz (113.4g) of wholemeal flour 2 oz (56.7g) butter For the pie: Dice up the vegetables Place in a saucepan with just enough water to cover Add the oatmeal and vegetable extract and stir Cook for 10-15 minutes Stir occasionally to prevent the mixture from sticking. Remove any excess water and allow to cool Put the vegetables into a pie dish and sprinkle with chopped parsley Cover with wholemeal pastry Bake in a moderate oven until the pastry is nicely brown and serve hot. For the pastry: Place the flour into a bowl Cut up the lard and rub into the flour with your fingertips until you have a breadcrumb like consistency Add a tablespoon of water to make dough Roll out very thiny The vegetables when chopped up are very bulky. I had to use two saucepans to cook the amount produced. You many want to use ½ lb of each vegetable unless you are cooking for 5 or 6 people
