It's claiming I have no proprietary drivers in use, I do have an aftermarket graphics card... I just can't get to the point of having the option of enabling it. Compiz Fusion is rather picky about the graphics card drivers it allows you to use with it. Do some digging around the Ubuntu forums and you'll find a nice work around. -- Posted by anonomouse at 12:58 am on June 30, 2009 Try using Fedora. Ubuntu is really picky with graphics cards (like most of linux). Desktop effects never work for me, but they somehow magically worked in Fedora. If you want, find the graphics card driver fedora uses and install that into ubuntu so you don't have to change your OS.
