ok, this is for any and all girls who almost always, if not Always, Love to jump up and dance on tables at parties. i know not All girls do this, so this is just for those who do and love doing it.
but, first, let me say that, i'm no different than most other guys and i have No problem watching girls dance on tables, and on top of bars. it's a beautiful thing.
But, Especially since i have a girl friend who Loves to mark up and damage floors with her shoes and heels when she dances, and, doesn't even care if the floor Breaks or not (anyone else like this??), But, won't get on any tables or bars because she's afraid of heights.
so, since she can't answer this, i Always wanted to know something and ask.
more so with the tables, since Many of those have broken under girls dancing.

ok, here goes:
it seems that Much more than Half of the time that girls get on tables to dance at parties, either
a) they're Really drunk and can't keep their balance and fall off, or,
b) the table just gives out and breaks under their weight and they still fall.
a third, and, yeah, kinda strange observation, if the table actually doesn't break (which has been rare from what i've heard and seen), and the girls have on high stiletto heel shoes/boots, the table still gets pretty damaged with scratches and dents from the high heels. this is the one and only thing that the bar tops have in common with the tables, cause, i have yet to see or hear of any bar collapsing and breaking from girls dancing on it. Unless, someone else knows and wants to share??

anyway, my question for all the table dancing girls out there is:
if the majority of the time, you Know that either the tables wind up Breaking, or get severely damaged, Or, you might be in such bad shape from drinking so much that ya might fall off whether the table breaks or not;
Why do you constantly get up and dance on a small little table that most likely can't hold your weight after a while anyway, when it's much safer and much more room on the floor?? (then, of course, some floors have collapsed, too)

is it because:

a) you like being up above everyone and all the attention? (this answer may apply for bar-top dancing, too)
b) you like the idea of being destructive and powerful and breaking the tables under your feet? (which, if this is Your answer, do you then also like it when/if the floor breaks under you, too and you've tried breaking that also?)
c) when dancing on the tables and/or bar tops, you like leaving your "mark" where you've been (high stiletto heel scratches, holes, dents, etc.) all over the table and/or bar??

these are the only 3 reasons that i could think of for Some girls being so 'obsessed' with dancing on bars and Especially tables that almost Always collapse and break under them.  If, i'm wrong on all 3 and any girls wanna share their reason(s) for this that i couldn't think of, Please, go ahead and feel free!
before i go, Please don't anyone take offense to anything here. it's really just a curious, kinda silly/kinda serious question that i just wanted to ask and mean no harm to anyone.
again, i Do Love watching girls dance on tables and bars, but, just curious what really drives you to go up there all the time, Espescially on the poor tables that are always breaking??
dying to hear some answers!
thanks ladies!!

I don't dance on tables either and yes that was a really long and really pointless post. I hope I never have to see any of you dancing on tables either. That's just sad.

i don't quite understand what's going on here??
ok, Yes, my post Was and Is rediculously long and i apologize for that. i'll Try my best not to go on and on and write so much anymore. i'm truly sorry.
But, Obviously, If you read it over correctly (for those of you who Can read apparently) i stated Very clearly that this question was for Only the girls (and Girls Only, so, don't know why Guys are answering-unless you're That unsure of yourselves?) who Do like to dance on tables and bars and that it does Not apply to All girls because, Yes, i Do know that there are girls out there who never Have and never Will get up on a table and/or bar and dance, and that's very admirable and i totally respect that. but i stated this question was Not directed towards those girls who Don't like to and Never will do that, so, there was No need to answer to this! there is negativity here now Because of those who replied to this post who had No Reason to!
the Only replies to this post, so far, that Belong here, and i Sincerely thank them for sharing their replies, are Kali, Roxxii444, and the very kind Secret Mind. thanks Very much to those 3 who Do Belong here and shared their feelings with this topic the way it was asked!! Thank you Ladies!!
if it had been left to just those 3, this thread wouldn't be so negative right now, so Please, if you Can't relate to this topic (in other words, if you're Not a Girl who loves to get up and dance on tables and/or bar tops) then, Please, Don't reply and move on to another topic. thank you.

It's not the girls' fault the tables break. It's the club's fault for having such weak tables!
Girls dancing on tables are hot! makes me horny!!!

-- Posted by nite0wl at 11:14 pm on July 7, 2005

that's true. i hear what you're saying.
but, Some girls (and i Hsve talked to a couple), not all, but Some actually Do love to damage and even break tables when they get on them! so, sometimes, no, it's not their fault, but, yes, sometimes, it Is. (and when it is, i think most of them love it anyway- right girls?   )
also, it's not just at clubs, but also, and even More at house parties, which is what i was referring to mostly when i wrote this anyway. lots of girls seem to go to houses and/or dorms and get on top of tables there, (or just on top of Something) and dance (and sometimes even Stomp!) away until the table just gives away and breaks under them, or is at Least severely damaged and marked up.
but yeah, i'm with ya. i love it when they get up there, too.     was always just curious what, or if, they thought about these other little things, though. that's all.

wow, that was such a long, complicated, scientific observation on the least relevant thing.  Man, you're weird.

I don't dance on tables and i don't know many girls who do either.

Must be an american thing

wow, that was such a long, complicated, scientific observation on the least relevant thing.  Man, you're weird.

I don't dance on tables and i don't know many girls who do either.

Again, i Don't understand why people reply to topics that aren't meant for them to answer, or that they can't relate to?!     i only look at, and Definitely only answer to topics that apply to me and that i can relate to!
ok, yeah, i admit, it's kind of a weird question and observation, yes, but first, i can just as easily say you're weird for taking the time to reply to a question that has Nothing to do with you. i stated TWICE here that this topic was for girls who DO dance on tables and/or bar tops, NOT for girls who DON'T!
then, it doesn't exactly to take Too much observing, or a rocket scientist, to figure out that when girls who are wearing heels (Especially thin stilettos) get off of the tables and/or bar tops that they were dancing on, to notice how all of a sudden the surface of the table and/or bar becomes all scratched and marked up with dents and even holes from their thin stiletto heels. Or, the table just gives out and breaks.
But, in general, what i'm saying is this:
there ARE girls out there who do this (dance on tables and bars) and, some don't want to damage and/or break them, but just have a good time dancing up there, while others, either don't care if they damage and/or break them, or Some, even Want to and Love doing it, so, i'm just curious how many girls out there that DO (repeat- DO) dance on tables and/or bars feel about the damage they cause when they either scratch, dent, and mark up the surface, or just break them?? that's all!!
if you're a girl who doesn't do any of this, and is even opposed to this, that's fine and you're entitled to your opinion, But i have No idea why you're wasting your time answering this question and insulting me?! i don't answer polls or questions that aren't directed to anything i can't relate to and insult or put down those people. i just leave it alone and move on, and suggest you do the same.
but, again, before i go, thanks to the lovely ladies here who Do, or Have danced on tables and/or bars who answered and answered honestly and shared their feelings!!

hmm....  'Destructive', huh?!
care to elaborate maybe??

-- Posted by nite0wl at 10:33 pm on Oct. 19, 2005

just wanna say thanks to Kali and Secret Mind here for elaborating and sharing their 'destruction' with me!!
also, to make another point for those who didn't understand the point to this, over the summer, a friend of mine told me about a party she was at (wish i was there instead of work!   ), and she told me not only did she dance on a table there and wound up Breaking it, but she Loved the fact that she did it, (and said was Hoping it would while she was on it!!), And Also, said she wound up leaving some Very Obvious high heel scratches, and even some dents and Holes in the house's dining room wood floor from dancing Really hard in her stilettos, and, was Proud to leave her "mark" (basically Dents and Holes!!) all over the floor wher she was!!
so ya see, there Are Some girls out there who do this, Know that they do this, And, Love doing this!
i was just trying to find out about how many are out there and around here, that's all.
obviously Kali, Roxxi, and Secret Mind can all relate and thank you all once again for sharing!!

they do it because they're drunk and it seemed like a good idea at the time.

i have never danced on a table at a party so i probly shouldn't be replying but your not the boss of my and i'll do what i want! lol

-- Posted by JennyColada at 5:34 pm on Nov. 2, 2005

I dance on the bar pretty often since I, uh, work at a bar. I don't really drink though, and I've never been drunk, so I do all this completely sober, have never fallen off and have never broken anything because of my dancing on the bartop.

It's fun, and I do like the attention, and it makes me a good chunk of change when I do it.

well, let's see, to share a little- i know of one girl who, yep, broke a table dancing on it New Years' Eve, and the other Almost broke the one she danced on, But, Did manage to 'damage' it quite a bit, Both, the top of the table- scratched it up and dented it pretty bad with her high heels, and the side of the table now has a Crack in it!!  she said she thought that was 'cool' and 'great' that she did all that to it, and then said, "now if i only broke the damn thing!"
so then she went ahead and messed up (scratched, dented, etc.) the floor some more!
so, there Are girls out there like this.
so, i was just wondering how many maybe are here and could relate and share what you've done, too?? (to tables, bar tops, floors, etc.)
thanks!!
Happy Holidays and hope to hear more!!

Jenny, were you taking stuff off when dancing?  I have never heard of getting tips for dancing on top of a table or bar if something wasn't getting exposed?
