so i want to put some of my videos on to my ipod. but they are all either avi or wmv, anyone no how to convert them? (preferably without downloading, but i will if its safe)

Imtoo3gp is a program but I don't know if it's free or not.

total video converter works like a charm and its free too google it oh and its also safe i've been using that to convert ALL my vids it has an option to specifically convert it to ipod compatible format too

The problem with online video conversions is that they require you to upload a large video file and download another large video file. It takes a long time, gets really compressed, and starts looking bad. I'd recommend actually downloading a program instead of doing it online if you want to preserve the qualitly of your video. Videora is a really good iPod video converter. The interface is a bit awkward, but it works like a charm.

Virtual Dub, one of the most powerful free converter available. Its harder to use but there are tons of tutorials out for it.
