If you want to make FireFox a lot faster than it already is, it is very easy to do. In your FireFox adress bar, type in about:config and press enter. You should be prompted with a page that says you might void your warranty, ignore this page and continue. You should see a very long list of of things, the two you should be concerned about are network.http.pipelining and network.http.pipelining.maxrequests Double click network.http.pipelining and enable it to be true. Now go to network.http.pipelining.maxrequests and set it to 20. Firefox should now be much faster. If it isn't, try lowering the maxrequest to somewhere around 10 because you might be overtiming your browser.

isn't this hacking and making yourself more vulnerable?

No. It starts loading multiple data packets from webpages before official responses are received from the site.
