OK, first. Give her time, she will think about it!!!

wow, sometimes the thought of that is crazy.

You should be happy for her! It's not your baby, and it's not your life. It's not your place at all to suggest that she has an abortion, unless she asked you for her advice. Just be lucky that you're not the pregnant one. You don't sound like a true friend at all. I'm happy that she decided to keep the baby, and not listen to you, because it sounds like you have no idea what you're talking about.

I'm sorry, but to me, ABORTION is terrible advice.

I lost it when I was 17. I'm 18 now and addicted to sex.

Y'all I don't care if i'm supportive or not I think her havin a kid right now is dumb. She's so irresponsible

regardless of your opinion on the matter, you should be there for her supporting her with what ever decision she were to make. and if any of my friends told me i should have an abortion when i found out i was pregnant, they wouldn't be my friends now. if you want to talk over if she would be willing to give it up for adoption thats one thing. but that really is not your place to say, and you need you bite your tongue and support her.

17 isn't that young. She'll be a legal adult in 12 months or less. :-/

It's unfortunate but friends don't always listen to good advice. If it bothers you that much, either tell her or walk away from the friendship.

I was 17 when I had my daughter. It really isnt that young.

I'm 17 and doing just fine. My friends mom who is in her late 30's is pregnant and I have more than what she does.

-- Posted by Chava at 1:06 pm on July 2, 2009

I was 17 when I was pregnant with my first son. My fiance' and I are doing just fine. Now we have two at 20. You can get a job at 17 and do just fine in life.

-- Posted by WhiteTrashLilDarling at 1:26 pm on July 2, 2009

Shes not responsible enough to get a job and her boy all his bitchass does is play videogames and ride ATVs.

Oh well not my problem I guess, all I know is if I had fallen pregnant I would have an abortion because I know I would not be ready.

That sucks. She really should have an abortion.

That's what everyone said about me. Now I work at Kaiser. My daughters father is a jerk and punked out, but my daughter and I are doing just fine without him. Sure, you would abort. I hate it when teens who get pregnant use abortion as a form of BC. Sure if it was rape or something, I would understand but using it as BC is just being plain selfish. She chose to have sex knowing that there was a possibility of getting pregnant. Now that she's pregnant she's actually dealing with the consequences of those actions. She's growing up. I have respect for teens who go through with that. Regardless of who the father is, if she wants to keep her child then she has a right too. I don't believe I'm mistaken but the way you posted this, it sounds like you have a jealous demeanor. Instead of complaining about your friend being pregnant why don't you lay off? She is keeping it so sitting there and complaining about her being pregnant (which isn't really any of your business) isn't helping any. What a supportive friend you are. Is it effecting your life? No. Are you the one who will be up all night dealing with a fussy baby? Get over it.

well she is my friend and I do want whats best for her. Why would I be jealous I was pregnant when I was 15 years old and had an abortion so I am in no way jealous of her situation I'm sad for her.

-- Posted by dunebug at 4:21 pm on July 4, 2009

All you can do is wait and see.

Some flakes turn it around during the pregnancy and become good parents. Some don't.

Hopefully she'll turn it around and shape up.

All the more reason to be jelous, if it's true that you had an abortion.
