Guaifenesin has many side effects if taken in large doses (which you will be doing if you want to trip from DXM). It includes nausea and vomiting, as well as forming kidney stones (which it is very prone to in large doses). That last one is perhaps the most dangerous one, because if it goes unnoticed it can cause many problems, and is very unpleasant for you to deal with, especially since you'll either have to go to the hospital to get it blasted with ultrasound, or let it pass through naturally, which can hurt like a biatch. I'd avoid doing it at all, but if you're going to go ahead anyway, nausea can be reduced by consuming the tablet with a meal, and the keep yourself very well hydrated to reduce the chances of kidney stones. -- Posted by Audioblood at 10:20 pm on July 2, 2009 That is a STUPID dose. Why the hell would you take 4,000 milligrams of ANYTHING without knowing exactly what it is? In addition, you ingested 200 total milligrams of DXM, which is a notable experience, but minimal if you were actually interested in DXM. But apparently you're just drinking cough syrup and popping pills to "get high." So for that, I can only suggest that you grow-up.
