-- Posted by Zaxter at 9:37 pm on July 2, 2009
yes. it's their choice and shouldn't be an issue in adoption
-- Posted by RandomRutter at 9:37 pm on July 2, 2009

If they didn't who would? Most children are adopted by people who are Gay.
-- Posted by redhotchilis64 at 9:39 pm on July 2, 2009
uhh... yes. No reason to not let them. This is a Civil Rights issue, it always comes out in favor of the person.

Not true...
Prove it. I have back up: An estimated 14,100 foster children are living with lesbian or gay parents within the United States and that census was taken in 2002, think of how the numbers have grown.

This is from the Child Welfare Information Gateway : between 8 and 10 million children are being raised in gay and lesbian families.

Fine, but dont promote gayness on them. Let them be free like thier gay parents were to do what they want. I belive sex is something that should just stay in the bedroom, not be talked about at the dinner table with children, and sexual orientation of course is all about sex.

Yes, but how does that prove that most children are being adopted by homosexual couples? I wouldn't care that they were, I just doubt that that's true. Considering that a lot of people who would be giving the children up for adoption would be religious, they would probably want their child to have generic heterosexual parents. Of which there are many who desire children. I would love if most children were being adopted by gay couples, I just can't see that being true in America. And your stats mean nothing. Many children being raised in gay couple families are related to at least one of their parents.

And: Approximately four percent of all adopted children are being raised by gay and lesbian parents. Source.

I realize, that why I included the two stats, one of possibly related children, and one of not related for sure(although that one is a little old, and I am sure the numbers have grown because of the number of Gay couples has grown also.) I like the way you think, but it is not likely that a mother who has to put her child up for adoption, gets to choose what the parents sexuality is. Today's America is changing, and some of the facts, surprisingly, along with it.

What the hell? Most birth mothers choose the parents, that is one of their most important rights. My sister was adopted, so I'm not just speaking out of no where.
