Why are people always saying "oh I was so young and naive then"
"Hahah I thought I was invincible but little did I know, I knew nothing, those were the days"
"Tut tut kids, so worried about little problems, I was like that too"
What the fuck. Why do you feel the compulsion to put your younger self down like childhood was some sort of stupidity-vortex? Do you really think you're that much wiser now that you know how to pay your pills (Log on to your account, type in amount, type in bank details, send!), how to rent an apartment, and how to fuck?
You weren't too far off though. You really are a dumb whore if you have to stifle your childhood into a cliche to make your current worries seem a bit more legitimate.
You = you all. Just so you know.

i actually made a pretty gigantic mental shift since i changed a lot, but even when i was younger i was a lot smarter than most adults

Especially naive fucks in their late teens or early twenties saying this as if they've finally found a reason to parade the word "mature" around the way they can parade a beer bottle around when they hit 21 you dumb fucks, fuck you.

Because I hate who I was and want to completely detach myself from that person. I don't even look at my younger self as the same person.

I'm sure people learn as they grow and shifts happen and they get over phases. But whatever meant a lot to you then, isn't petty or stupid just because you were younger.

It's like you're all practicing to be bitter fat old bastards before you even become fat or old.
