I love my boyfriend as a person and we do alot of fun stuff together and we're both very open with eachother more open then with anyone else. But whenever we're alone and were talking we always start making out. Is that normal? or does that mean our relationship is too phsycial and meaningless? I'm 19 I'v never been in a serious relationship but he means alot to me and I want our relationship to mean alot too when we are alone we do get very physical with eachother alot we've never had sex and aren't planning too for along time..

Uhm, yes... you're teenagers. I can talk with a lad in public about anything, be totally seperate from them but as soon as we get into a place where it's private it's all about body contact, lmao. It's perfectly normal. Unless you don't want that to happen, I'm sure you could carry on the talking...

It is normal. I guess it does mean your relationship is very physical.

well, i think its great thing that you arn't planning on having sex for a while, it is over-rated, and not an important part of any REAL relationship in my honest opinion, not until two people are committed and have been together for a long time. It depends what you class as normal really, i mean, alot of people are having sex in their relationships as if that is "normal" but in my view, i think it isnt normal to just have sex for the sake of it. If you feel it is getting too physical, limit the time you are alone together so things don't get too heated, and better still, talk to him about it, and set clear boundaries so you both know when to stop eachother if one of you is feeling weak at anytime. Of course there will always be sexual desires when you are alone, atleast most of the time, but if you can hold back, you will feel more respect for eachother, trust me on that xxx

Anon must be a virgin. Sex with someone you very much care about is not over rated. It is an important part in my if not most serious and committed relationships. That doesn't mean that every teen should go out and have sex but it is important. I am in a very much real relationship and sex is important. It isn't the whole relationship and we can survive without it but that doesn't mean that it is not important or we shouldn't have it.

Sex is big to me. It's another way to connect and become closer to your partner. It's a big step & doesn't always fare well, but it makes you closer.

There is something wrong with at least one or both of you. If you always get physical and it doesn't lead to getting naked and having sex, your inhibitions show some immaturity.
