Let's face it, it's not helping, nothing's helping...I thought drugs could fix everything, but they can't find a drug to fix all of this bullshit. I waste 2 hours of my life every week. Loads of, "And how do you feel about that?" Crappy. "How do you feel about sex?" It's scary. "How do you view life?" ...As scary... "What bothers you?" Mankind's cruelty... "Do you feel like you've been treated unfairly?" *long pause* No. *to myself* I deserve it... /melodrama

I don't like the idea of psychiatrists. I think it works for some people and that's great for them but they're not for me.

you don't deserve it though. no one deserves cruelty handed out to them. that's what's wrong with people

I like going to my new one she is vary nice and caring and a good listener she is not pushy or anything like that she acts more like a friend then a psychiatrist wow yours is way different I don't get asked anything like that,She just asks how my life is going and if anything is bothering me and stuff like that and if I don't want to talk about it she doesn't push the subject maybe you need to get a new one,the 1 i had before this 1 i didn't enjoy so much

You might want to try a different psychiatrist. Different psychiatrists go to different schools and learn different disciplines. They all have a unique approach to their subject and they all have their own background and methods. Some of the methods are going to overlap and be the same but others will be different and then the plain demeanor of the psychiatrist will also be different. If you don't get on with the one you're seeing then before you give up on them altogether try a few others if you have to. They will even have different approaches to the drugs they prescribe. Just because one drug doesn't work that doesn't preclude others from being effective - sometimes a small change in the chemistry of the drug can dramatically increase its efficacy. I do understand what you're saying because i've seen a few psychologists myself but they are all different and i really think it's a few - until you find one that suits you or at least know for certain that you can't be helped by that discipline.

i have had no luck with psychiatrists. however, i really feel like every one of them is different, and approaches things in a different manner than their counterparts. it sounds like you've been having some problems in your life that you feel need to be solved, and i think you've already accepted that you need help solving them. i don't suggest quitting the psychiatrist for good because not talking about these things all of a sudden really can be detrimental to your well-being. i've gone through this exact same thing, and stopping it didn't help at all. maybe taking a small break to re-gather your thoughts would be in order at this point, though. i do urge you to find someone else, if you think it might be appropriate, though. it might help.
