My teacher's assistant pulled me and another girl out to help us learn how to tell time. She pulled out a bunch of flashcards and went through them.

Eventually, she got to 12:00. I answered that the clock said just that. 12:00. Then she asked, "What comes after 12:00?" I answered firmly, "13:00!" And she said that was wrong.

Technically, that is right. Just not in North America and a few other places in the world.

Did you say thirteen o'clock? Because that isn't right anywhere.

I'm pretty sure they said "Thirteen hundred" as opposed to "Thirteen o'clock" but I am most likely wrong.

Not as cool as my argument about letters in kindergarten. I asked for the spelling of the pronunciation, but I didn't know how to say that so I ended up getting my marker moved because I kept screaming at the teacher and calling her stupid.

Because she has a more than minimal grasp of the English language?

Did you ever go to school in America?

No, nor did you judging by that sentence.

Yes. The exact same thing happened to me. When I went to Europe for the first time, I was really tempted to call up my first grade teacher and tell her to to suck it. (Man, I hated her.)

I had the hardest time learning how to tell time. It was like, the only thing I was bad at in elementary school. Haha. (Egotrip egotrip egotrip)
