"Sometimes I wish you would just die" would you break up with them right then and there? (This assuming that you truly cared for the person and in the middle of a disagreement of some kind). -- Personally, I think I would just break up right then and there. I mean, everything comes down to context, but in most instances, a comment like that isn't somethign I could really just accept and move on with...

no. people always do and say things they don't mean in the heat of an argument. plus, i'm sure sometimes she does wish i'd just die.

If I truly cared for that person, I wouldn't give up on them. When people are heated they say crazy shit that they don't mean. Everyone does. It's human nature to do so. Whenever my ex an I would fight I would say the MEANEST shit to him, then the next day feel super bad and call him and apologize for my unruly behavior.

Truthfully, no. I'd probably be more concerned for them about how they must felt to be using such strong language, and then obsess about the degree of malice later.
