What do ya'll think? Is the Lakers agreement with Ron Artest a good idea when they are losing Trevor Ariza? Yes, Ariza is younger and more athletic, but Artest is a much better player. Artest has maintained that he likes Kobe and doesn't care about the money anymore, but rather winning a ring. I really like this deal for the Lakers. This deal means that Kobe is going to be able to get infinitely more rest and, more importantly, Kobe will not have to guard the other teams best players all the time. Ron Artest, if he can stay on the court and out of technical foul trouble, will be a huge upgrade from Trevor Ariza, even though Ariza does bring some intangibles that Artest does not bring. You thoughts.

The fact that the Celtics are likely getting Rasheed Wallace makes this news insignificant. No one is beating Boston next year.
