Do you use/understand the word Trousers.
I was talking to an American friend who had no idea what trousers were. And I was wondering if it was just them, or if it was a word only people from the UK use..

I know what they are, but never use the word.

-- Posted by Areola at 11:27 am on July 4, 2009

I know what you mean.

I've heard the word a lot, but that's because I used to watch Wallace and Grommett as a kid

Yeah, pants right?

I'd know what it is, generally its more of an "old person word" here but not unheard of.

Yeah, Pants.
But Pants is a completely different word here.

I only ever say "trousers" when I say "trouser-snake", come to think of it.
