Both don't believe in the existence of God or so they assert. And maybe secretly believe.

One is not sure about an existence of a God ?

Atheists are people who do not believe in the existence of a higher power, and Agnostics do not know, so neither are being secretive about their beliefs.

I don't secretly believe.
There is no God.
