Ok, so me and my boyfriend have been together about a week. We've known each other 3 years... it's complicated. Anyway, when he was first telling me about his feelings, he was saying a lot, going on and on about how beautiful, amazing, etc. that he thinks I am... Now, sometimes his texts are sort of brief... He'll tell me things like that, but just not as often. He seems bored sometimes. He seems happy with me when we're together, but he isn't gushing his feelings all over the place, like he seemed like he would.. So, I don't know. Are 20 year old guys just typically kind of quiet about their feelings, or is he feeling less into me, now that we're really dating? Should he constantly be telling me how much he's into me, and how happy he is? Or is that sort of an unrealistic expectation on my part? (I hate being insecure..)

That kind of gushing affection doesn't usually last forever. Eventually the relationship just becomes more routine. People tend to take it for granted after a while, you know.

He's happy in the place that he's in, that's all. It may dull him a little bit, but just keep it exciting if you want.

I know.. but it's only been like 5 days of truly being together! I mean, come on! I know we've known each other a long time, but not in this type of setting.

They've been together a week, he should still be pretty happy about it.

So, do you think that he has realized that he doesn't like me as much as he thought?..

I dunno, just have a friendly word? I don't know him so I can't pass judgement, it could be that he's just not very affectionate, or he's nervous.

If its only been a week I wouldn't worry. I'd wait a while, see what happens

Since you've known each other for ages, he's probably settled in to the idea of having you around and feels less gushy. I don't think many people compliment their girl all the time though.

ok seriously there's a middle ground between "being sick of you" and "gushing his feelings all over the place"

He probably feels that he doesnt have to tell you all the time..Give it awhile and if its still bugging you talk to him, because i can relate to a point because my boyfriend used to be super mushy then he stopped and i told him it bugged me because he cant just act one way then act the complete opposite and not expect me to think somethings wronng
