5 foot and 118 is anorexic?

-- Posted by DangerouslyDisturbed at 2:40 pm on July 4, 2009

You could just to the doctor anyway?

-- Posted by GoodFairy13 at 2:41 pm on July 4, 2009

Thats fucking retarded, you stop your periods, its likely you won't ever conceive.
You're taking a choice away from yourself before you even understand it.
Anorexia is so stupid.

Eh, I probably can't help unless it involves hugs. Would you like a hug?

Also, BMI is pretty outdated.

not just the weight loss but the stress on your body is what causes people to miss their periods. if you stop eating it wont always make you lose weight but it will mess up your body systems

I used to feel the same exact way. and i still kinda do. i feel like having my period means i'm fat

You should go to the doctors anyway. Or if it's easier, go and say that you missed your period (but can't be pregnant) etc even though you haven't. And then work yourself up to a confession about your ED

She might starve, then binge.
Or she suddenly started to restrict and lost heaps of weight quickly which shocked her body. This happened to me. I have been suffering for a while now, haven't had my periods in a long time. However now my bmi is in the anorexic range, and I'm dying for it to be lower and lower, until I am classified as 'emaciated' at the very least.
If you ever want to talk about your ed feel free to message me.

Sweetie, PLEASE don't try and stop your periods. You are much better off just approaching your parents or your doctor about your eating disorder regardless. I dealt with anorexia for two years and I am now fully recovered so I'd be happy to talk to you anytime. Please don't hesitate to PM me.

It is malnutrition that has caused her to lose her periods not her weight. I can see why you would want to lose yours too and I understand your reasons but once they are gone they have gone forever..I don't think you would want to jeopardise your chances of having children for that single reason. There are other ways..Good luck xx

It depends how long you have gone, and the nutrients you take in...You should be trying to fix your Ed so go to a doctor and tel them about it.
