Ummm well if I need to introduce myself, then here it goes:

Boost,
16,
Male,
From Dubai (United Arab Emirates)...

Well for those who don't know my country/city, it is one of the fastest emerging city in the world, with largest mall, tallest tower (Burj Dubai - 800metres) the only 7-star hotle across the world, fantastic place for tourists, and a wonderful place for teenagers like me to live and enjoy in...

We had a craze for Japanese Race cars - (Skyline/Supra/Soarer/Mark2's/etc etc) and modifiable cars in UAE even looong before car-racing games made these cars famous...

Well since I'm new, I'd better shut up and not talk so much in front of you experienced guys =)
TC.. and welcomes would be appreciated

you are strangely enthusiastic about Dubai.

Pity the place is a complete shithole designed to make money from idiotic tourists.

-- Posted by boost at 8:09 am on July 5, 2009

Well Dubai is a nice country, but as Dark Rave said, you need alot of money to enjoy it to bits... =(

And anyways, it isn't that we ourselves are 24/7 enjoying... There are ups and downs in every country... We get racism marks such as "Sand eating arabs"... or "Oil Rich Arabs"... but lol, no... Hardly any of us owns some oil company, and definately none of us eat sand =P

That place isjust lacking somthing man, its like you can have all the money in the world and still not be allowed to enjoy it, the drinking laws are STRICT AS FUCK ! and if you even get caught smoking a joint you goto prison.....

La Roux, you wouldn't say that if you'd been here =)
and I doubt, if you have ever been here, it must have been a real-shit-hole you landed in =P

No offence, but then neither is your country a pearl of the crown =P

Hello hello, Welcome to LW!
Dubai sounds like a very nice place.

Rules are harsh, since the people here are religious (atleast the rules are)...
the worst part is, that you cannot achieve the best of your aims until you got sources or direct contact with some big government official...

The local arabs ruel, and expatriates are neglected ='[...

Well my personal worst point for Dubai is, IT IS DAMN MOTHERFUCKING HOT OVER HERE (temperatures ranging above 48 degree Centigrade !!!)

yeah fuck that i went in august 05 too fucking hot. i know what you mean about the rules, but be honest man your country is going to shit the same as the rest of the world, the moneys running out there and the credit crunch is taking hold, just took a little longer to reach there....

Well another random fact about me, unlike others, I do not deny the truth, nor do I get pissed at when someone points out wrong in me...

Yes, over 90% of the projects have been seized in UAE (though, as a matter of fact, UAE once had over 60% of the worlds construction cranes - as per 2008 reports)

but then, booms and recessions... an economy is impossible without them =)
