You have to be open and upfront with him...its easy to say "I love you" but its another thing to show someone you care by donating your time and energies towards them. If he doesn't give you a legitimate reason as to why he cares / why he is with you, perhaps its best to break it off.

talking to him about your current situation is always the best thing to do

how would i tell him or even start to tell him ?

Some guys become indifferent and insensitive because their gf permitted it.  He may love you but he's not showing it.  However make sure you are not being too needy and demanding.  Communications is the key to good relationships.  Complacency becomes a bad habit that will eventually make a partner seek someone else that fulfills the need.

You need to talk to him.  Tell him if the relationship is going to succeed that you need to talk in depth about what is good about it, what is bad about it and what needs to change.  Most guys don't like to talk about stuff like this but it is essential in my opinion.  If he loves you he will want to fix the problems.  If he gets everything he wants from you without any effort he will eventually get tired of it.

Simple.  Ask him what he thinks about showing love toward others.  Get a general impression from him about what he thinks that's about - is it talking to somebody more?  Giving them more attention?  Actual affection, particularly touching and the like?  Simply saying "I love you"?

If you do that, not only will you be clearer on how he shows loves (thereby giving you a better idea of whether or not he does care about you anymore), but you can communicate to him in that conversation about what you think that is.  In any case, if he cares, he'll care about what you think and I would anticipate in that case, he may try to make his love for you more obvious.

But if he doesn't appear to care all that much after talking to him about that, you'll simply have to accept it.  You will want to talk to him about it in that case, and you may come off as sounding needy, but to be quite honest, a relationship requires the active maintenance of both parties in order for it to thrive.  If he's not pulling his own weight in the relationship, it's not going to work out at all.  You can naturally move into this subject from the one I mentioned above.  Don't shy away from it if you truly feel the need to bring it up either - you can't, and neither should you expect to keep a seemingly one-sided relationship going.

Like people above have stated, confront him, see what up...he may be going through something that he doesn't feel comfortable about. Just see whats going on in his life...
