Actually I've mentioned this several times but it's hard to overcome the brainwashing that the lingerie industry has done on women. It must be remembered that bras were invented for old women with saggy breasts- not young women with firm ones. It's only fairly recent history that all women and even teens think they must wear them.

Wow, and I thought everybody knew this? Oops. But yeah, thanks for spreading the awareness :D

I've seen plenty of studies about this wth 'connections', but I'm yet to see rock solid proof.

If we avoided everything that was suspected of being bad for our health, then we would live in a horrible world, and probably starve to death.

No, we would live in a more healthy world with fewer people ill and dying. Bras have nothing to do with staving to death- women managed fine without them for thousand of years.

And the life expectancy was a lot lower back then. Explain that?

oh bullshit Before I started wearing bras when my boobs first grew out of no where, I was in constant pain from he strain on my back and when I got my first bra, it fixed it. There was no brainwashing. If I don't wear a bra, I am sore all day my boobs are too heavy not to and I have been checked for lumps and the doctor actually said I had "unusually smooth breasts" so eff you

It wasn't lower due to breast cancer which was once a rare disease and which has soared since bra wearing became common in the twentieth century.

90% of all lung cancer deaths are directly realated to smoking. see http://www.ctsu.ox.ac.uk/~tobacco/

Normal body parts should not require artificial garments to support themselves. Nowhere in the animal kingdom is this necessary. The problem is that now a days young girls begin wearing bras so their breast's natural support system has nothing to do and doesn't develop properly. Any body part which is not used atrophies. If you carried your arm around in a sling all the time it will be weak too.

If heather didn't wear a bra her back would break, sorry your A cups cannot relate.

Sir, I passed the "A" cup size many years ago. I'm also a naturist and see large-breasted women playing tennis and volleyball and other vigorous sports at nudist resorts with no bra of any breast covering and they manage just fine. Many naturist women never wear bras and haven't for years and their breasts are in better shape than women who keep their breasts stuffed in clothe bags all the time.
